What I Believe

A key part of my life is my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Jesus Christ has been my foundation, my safe harbor, my truest friend, and ultimately my Savior.  Following Him has brought me a deep and abiding sense of happiness, guidance, hope, healing, peace, and purpose in life.  I love Him!

And through prayer, study, and the power of the Holy Ghost, I have come to find out that He is indeed leading a church today that offers us access to all the power and ordinances necessary to receive salvation.  You can know for yourself, too!

Look into OUR BASIC BELIEFS:
(found on Mormon.org)

GOD is our Father in Heaven, who created us in His own image; like Him we are divine in our nature and purpose.

We lived with God before this life as His SPIRIT CHILDREN. We came to earth to gain a body and to learn and grow.

JESUS CHRIST is our Savior and Redeemer and the Only Begotten Son of God the Father.

Just as God revealed truth and spoke to the ancient prophets—Abraham, Noah and Moses among them—so too does He communicate through MODERN PROPHETS today.

THE BIBLE is a sacred book of scripture that serves as an important pillar of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a bedrock of all Christianity.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the complete RESTORATION of Christ’s original Church on earth.

THE BOOK OF MORMON is a book of scripture that teaches about Jesus Christ’s visit to the ancient Americas.

FOLLOWING GOD is how we achieve happiness in this life and salvation in the next.

THE FAMILY is the divine building block of civilization.

TEMPLES are the house of God on earth, holy places where we seek guidance and participate in essential ordinances that help us become closer to our Father in Heaven.

LIFE AFTER DEATH is a natural extension of the life we currently lead, just as our life here on earth is an extension of our premortal life.

MORMON CULTURE is unique, diverse and strong. Like all Christians, Mormons strive to strengthen their families, communities and nations in the hope of creating a better life for future generations.
